The Career Counseling Process

The career counseling process consists of four distinct phases, Intake, Assessment, Exploration, and Marketing. You can read about each phase on the pages linked below.

  1. Intake - Learning about you as a person, and setting goals for career counseling.

  2. Assessment - Using a variety of career assessments and tests to find points of intersection between you and various industries and occupations.

  3. Exploration - Helping you develop an understanding of the possibilities, while managing the ambivalence that often accompanies big changes.

  4. Marketing - Working on resumes, cover letters, job search, and overall selling of yourself to potential employers.
